You’ve got dreams that you haven’t really reached and you’ve got goals that you didn’t really crush. You’ve got issues in your life that need resolving and a plethora of problems all revolving. But still you fight. And you strive to be a better person than you were the day before. You’re living life in constant service, always helping others flourish. You’re always looking for a way you could do more. And you will. You always do. You always will. But don’t forget to give yourself credit. You always forget. You always do. You always will. It’s okay to pat yourself on the back sometimes. Remind yourself you’re great. And proclaim it to the sky and while staring at your own face. Say it in the morning, midday, and when you lay. I am great. I am great. I am great.
Don’t Forget To Give Yourself Credit – D.T. Ruth
Life has been crazy the last two years with two new little boys added to our family. Becoming a father has been a blessing but I recently noticed that I was allowing myself to get eaten up by routines and internalizing my frustration. I wasn’t giving myself credit for the little progress I’ve made in various aspects of my life while adjusting to life as a dad and role model for my kids. I started writing myself little notes of encouragement as a prompt to help me write about how I felt that day and something told me to share my latest one to the abyss which is my semi-defunct blog.
Be You. Live R.E.A.L.
